Pedestrian killed near Imperial Highway and Central Avenue in Watts; drivers fled

By The Southbound 105 LOS ANGELES — A man was killed late Sunday night in Watts after he was struck by three vehicles near Imperial Highway and Central Avenue, and at least two drivers fled the scene, the Los Angeles Police Department said, according to CBS Los Angeles. The incident occurred at about 10:03 p.m. Aug. 31, 2026, in the area of Imperial Highway and Central Avenue, CBS Los Angeles reported, citing police. A man was crossing the street when he was hit by three vehicles, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The man had not been publicly identified. The first two drivers who struck the man fled before first responders arrived, according to the LAPD. The third driver remained at the scene, CBS Los Angeles reported.
